   Wonderful food! Great ambiance. Had to wait for our reservation and was seated at possibly the worst table in the restaurant right between 2 other parties. Would probably sit at the bar if we go back to not risk such poor table placement.

   This was our 3rd trip to the restaurant. Service, as always, was excellent. Highlights were the beet salad and the bread pudding.I ordered the trout, which was tasty, but not very warm. My husband ordered the “cock and leekie”- their take on a chicken pot pie, and it was extremely dry and not very warm. The wine list is a disappointment- very few selections and, as usual, 3x retail. Perhaps the food issues were because it was very busy, but overall, it was just “fine”.

   Our server Jess was amazing. Our table was supposed to be upstairs however I have a broken leg and they accommodated us downstairs. The manager Quinn was also amazing. The food and drink were all perfectly crafted. Thank you to all the staff for an amazing dining experience.

   Cool old building turned into a sweet dining option. Rustic made elegant. Food was outstanding. Solid but not overwhelming wine and cocktail list. While not the cheapest, the Puddle Dock still has an approachable vibe. Make a reservation already.

    My wife and I celebrated our 42nd anniversary at Puddle Dock and could not have been happier with the service, the food, the ambience. What a great asset to Portsmouth's restaurant community! Jess, our server was magnificent and Quinn who made sure we were well taken care of made our experience extra special! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
