When we arrived, the hostess didn’t have our reservation through open table and wouldn’t sit us because they were “booked”. When we offered to show her the confirmation email from open table, she said that they don’t really take online reservations because they don’t work. Luckily, there was a table in the bar area that was open. The rest of the experience was very nice. The food was good and the view is beautiful. If you want to eat here, you should call for reservations.

Our waitress was very nice and checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything. Pizza was delicious.

I like The Pub -- the real problem here is that apparently they aren't really registered with Open Table. My advice is to call and make a reservation so that you don't find out when you get there that no Open Table reservations register in their system. Otherwise, it's a perfectly fine place to dine with a terrific view of Lake Superior from the shores of old(e) La Pointe.

Tap for beer didnt work, wait staff didnr know much about beer options and blamed bartenders for slow service. Long wait for food and it was marginal at best.

Perfect place for a quiet dinner. The dining room has a beautiful view of Lake Superior. Eating in the bar is fun too.

Three people in our group had the whitefish dinner and really enjoyed it. I had Linguini Diablo with grilled chicken and was very impressed with the interesting flavors. The Pub is a nice place to dine and view Lake Superior. We live in Bayfield WI and rode the Madeline Island Ferry.

We enjoyed the French burgundy, seafood chowder, sea scallops with pork belly & the crab cakes. We thought the maple glazed trout was a bit overdone. We had a reservation & asked the hostess for window table. The hostess told us the tables by the window were booked, but during the duration of our 2 hour dinner only 1 out of the 4 tables by the window were seated. Other than that everything was great including Sammy our waitress!
