In short, left disappointed. What should’ve been an evening to celebrate my wife’s birthday, was dampened by brazenly poor food. We decided on enjoying the most expensive main, the cote de boeuf for £70. What came was grey, dry, well overcooked with a lazy attempt to cover it in leaves to hide the meat. Now truth be told we should’ve rejected it on arrival, but hoping for the best and not wanting to dampen a celebration I thought it best to persevere. We ate it, but it was as suspected, far below the £70 cost. I did challenge the waiter, who admitted immediately it was overcooked. Suggesting, as I suspected, he and the chef knew it was well below standard, there was little resistance to knock 5% off the bill. (Hardly generous) We have recently moved to the area, trying new places as we settle into Tenterden. We have no reason to come back to print house after this experience, there are better dining experiences, at a lesser cost in Tenterden which I will recommend to any visitors. I hope this review is read by prospective customers - don’t be fooled like us. There is far better on offer!

This review was sent to me personally by Jo and I was disappointed to hear that a guest of ours had such a disappointing evening. My staff and I care deeply about ensuring our customers enjoy their time with us. What can I say.. hopefully we will be better next time. However to anyone reading this in the future please don't wait until the finish of your meal to let us know you didn't enjoy it. We need to know straight away so we can make amends!!!

Well prepared food, friendly and competent staff who were attentive without being invasive. The food was very well cooked and presented. On the expensive side but still worth it for a top quality meal. I also liked the table space as much better arranged than many restaurants where tables are so close together. They also put a candle in my friends desert to mark her birthday. Overall very happy with my visit.
