The Powis Arms is a traditional Georgian coaching inn devoted to serving delicious, local food from menus that morph and change according to the seasons, paired with a straightforward wine list, spirits and regional beer selection.

The Powis Arms has been at the heart of this historic village for over 200 years. Today the building welcomes its locals and visitors with open arms, offering a place to sit down, relax, and enjoy some of the best food and drink in the county, surrounded by friends, family and neighbours…your dogs are welcome too! On a summers afternoon be sure to visit our semi-covered deck overlooking the open countryside to the rear of the pub, which perfectly captures the afternoon sun.

    It was very good food & cheerful service. My wine selection was limited and we booked a table for the 10th but it cane though as the 17th. Overall it was a lovely roust lunch and happy service glad I didn’t have to cook it!

    Great place for Sunday lunch. Hot, fresh, great tasting roast dinners - and tons of it! The gravy boat load of custard with the sticky toffee pudding was the icing on the cake! Smart place, friendly and efficient service! All round great experience.

    Very accommodating as we were a large group that all arrived at different times and some were late. Brilliant waitress trying to keep us all happy. Lovely food in a bright and inviting room. Tasty food.

    The food, drink and service was excellent, sadly we left before desert as a family group sat close to us were extremely noisy and the 2 children allowed to run a mock unchallenged by there parents, in fact the father was encouraging the unruly behaviour. Consideration should be given to separating families from the restaurant, and the staff should make it clear that unruly behaviour is unacceptable. In fact as we were leaving we passed another family group with children, this group were enjoying the dining experience and being respectful of the other diners in the restaurant.
