THE PORT HOUSE
DUBLIN & LONDON
Opened first in 2006 we realised we had something special in our little cave on South William Street in Dublin 2! Twelve months later, we opened another little cave in Temple Bar and our third in a cottage in Dundrum Town’s Centre’s Pembrook District.

After three successful restaurants and seven years of hard work and saving our pocket money, we decided we were grown up enough to hit London in search of fame and fortune down the West End of Covent Garden, where we hope to get a small bit part alongside Jude Law!

In 2019, we were delighted to announce that we opened our fifth location in Camden Street, Dublin 2. Which is an incredibly diverse area that gives us the opportunity to present our tapas, ports and wines with a focus on Cava that does not receive the attention it deserves.

Really disappointed with the food - the mini burgers were not good at all - fatty and greasy. Mushroom portion was tiny. Croquettes were overcooked.

Great and expansive wine selection in a good price range. Food mediocre. Patatas braves were horrible , nice little roasted spuds with cold gloop pored over them are a far cry from from a very basic menu offering. Service was initially good but as the restaurant filled up it became impossible to get any attention from the staff with regard to ordering desert or coffee...so we left and paid at the till

A most enjoyable night. Excellent food, very attentive and courteous service. Restaurant was very busy, but this did not impact the service or attention offered.

I am a regular customer and have been since you opened in Dundrum. Food is always excellent but I have been meaning to comment for some time on your high wine prices. Two examples: Last night we had a very good bottle of Esporao Reserva 2021 (Alentejo) , which at c. €58 a bottle costs too much. We drank the same wine a week ago for €32 at Rasa in Belarmine (Stepaside), which I think is good value. You also charge a similar amount for Altos de Inurrieta (reserva), which we bought this summer in Spain for €10.50 a bottle. How can you justify marking this up to €55? That said, I have to say that we always enjoy our visits to PortHouse Ibericos - we would be there more often if we could justify the cost!

Such a beautiful place! Myself and two of my girl friends wanted to go somewhere that had a nice atmosphere, that was also quiet for us to have a conversation and relax while eating. This was the perfect place, the decor was stunning, the vibe was exactly what we needed and wanted, the service was just right, and the food was delicious! i have a long list of food intolerances, so for me choice is always great to have, and I certainly did here. Definitely will return! Thank you for a beautiful evening.
