   Was so lovely to finally get back to The Plume of Feathers! We were devastated when it closed. But it’s just as quaint and cozy as it ever was. Always a warm welcome, food was delicious and portions were very decent. The staff always make a fuss of the dog which she loves! We’ve already made plans to come back for more food and finally try out the camping!

   Booked a table for 5pm arrived 5 mins late due to traffic for the lady to look at the clock and then say to her staff member go tell them they are here, she then gave us a menu and said the kitchen closed at 5pm but don’t rush pick what you want to eat. We were told we could sit anywhere we wanted, we ordered food and drinks at the same time as felt a bit pressured by the response when first arriving, also thought it was strange the kitchen closed at 5pm but you allowed us to book a table for 5pm? The food was on the table in 5 mins the vegan burger was warm and mushy but the chips were okay, we ate the meal and then left without finishing our drinks. I used to love this place doubt I will be visiting again not a good 1st impression after reopening!!

   Went with 2 friends for lunch A lovely friendly atmosphere, good service and goo6pub food. I would have liked a little more choice but enjoyed the good quality, tasty burger.

   Really friendly staff and great service Order was taken from table which was good as no having to go to the bar Online booking was simple and table was ready on arrival Steak and ale pie was good, portion sizes are generous, wife’s veggie option also was good Could not fault our lunch experience in any way and would thoroughly recommend Dogs are welcome Really good to see the Plume busy again, will be returning soon

    It was great to be back here after such a long time. Food was good pub grub. Portions were far too big, even after a long day of walking. Food was well cooked and hot, hot, hot! Love it! Service was excellent, all the serving staff, both behind the bar and serving food were attentive, polite and helpful. The bar has a great selection of local ales, brewed literally a stone’s throw away. The pub was busy but wasn’t too noisy. Didn’t have to wait long to be served. We will be back!
