About this restaurant

  • Charming
  • Good for groups
  • Child-friendly
The entire family is sure to enjoy Savannah's most intriguing & historic restaurant. At the Pirates' House, our most precious treasure is the food. Situated in Trustees Garden, merely a scant block from the Savannah River, the Famous Pirates' House is the most historic spot in Georgia. The Herb House, erected in 1734, located inside the Pirates' House, is said to be the oldest house in Georgia. The Pirates' House first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers and fast became a meeting point for blood-thirsty pirates & sailors. Parking on site.

Food was average at best. The pirate lady kept coming to our table and bothering us during our dinner. The server Susan was the best part of the experience.

We have dined at Pirates House many times. Service is always good. And food has always been good, except today. None of the food seemed up to their usual standard. We were disappointed. Next time we are in town we will try again.

My kids wanted to go to see the pirate and get a fun experience. We asked our waitress at least four times if she could ask the pirate to come by our table and every time she said she did not know where she was. Then my kids asked about the treasure box of lollipops and the waitress rolled her eyes and said she did not know what they were talking about. It is literally on the kids menu?
