About this restaurant

  • Charming
  • Good for groups
  • Good for special occasions
The entire family is sure to enjoy Savannah's most intriguing & historic restaurant. At the Pirates' House, our most precious treasure is the food. Situated in Trustees Garden, merely a scant block from the Savannah River, the Famous Pirates' House is the most historic spot in Georgia. The Herb House, erected in 1734, located inside the Pirates' House, is said to be the oldest house in Georgia. The Pirates' House first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers and fast became a meeting point for blood-thirsty pirates & sailors. Parking on site.

We arrived a bit early but were greeted warmly & taken to our table right away. Our server was not friendly nor polite but that didn't interfere with the delicious food.. fried green tomatoes, crab soup, calamari were amazing!!! The fried chicken & crab dip were great 😃

Our server, Christopher, was fantastic; a great ambassador for The Pirates’ House. My wife had the Honey Pecan Fried Chicken & I had the Seafood Harvest Platter; both were delicious, well portioned, cooked perfectly, and reasonably priced. It was our first visit and will be back soon.

Food was average at best. The pirate lady kept coming to our table and bothering us during our dinner. The server Susan was the best part of the experience.
