   There are not enough superlatives to describe the Thai cuisine at the Optimist - it's a stunning explosion of taste and flavour. The service was terrific too and while the menu is perhaps a touch on the pricey side compared to other places in Northallerton, I would say it's worth paying that little bit more for food of this quality.

   Our second time eating here, first time was very busy and lively atmosphere, second time very quiet (Tuesday pm) but did not stop us enjoying the food which was very nice. Service very good

   It’s taken us a few months to try the food here. Well. Why has it taken us so long ? After our food last night we have asked ourselves that very question. The food was delicious, tasty and the right amount of spice. Great service which was speedy and full of character! We will not be leaving it very long before come back. If you love Thai/ oriental food. It’s a must.

   The food was amazing, the waiter paid attention to what we were ordering and ask questions to gain further understanding around dietary requirements. The room was a little cold but they didn’t take away from anything. Excellent experience all round and will return.

   Lovely venue and lovely food! Attentive and polite staff, don't understand why this restaurant isn't more full! Maybe time of year?
