   Having read some poor reviews on this pub we entered with a little trepidation, however we needn’t have worried. The staff were welcoming and friendly the food was delicious and plentiful. All in all we had a lovely meal in charming surroundings with friendly professional service. Thank you 👍

   We dine here every time we visit Northumberland and have always enjoyed it. On this occasion the service was poor and the roast was awful. The food was barely lukewarm and the beef was stringy and tough. It was the last meal of our holiday. It was very disappointing and a waste of our hard earned money.

   Medium rare steak was rare. Mushrooms and tomatoes under cooked. Only the chips and onion rings were hot the rest of the food was cold.

   Authentic sea side pub with cosy atmosphere and welcoming staff. We ordered the fish pie hoping to sample the local seafood. However we were left “fishing” for the fish in a tasty dish but with very little fish. The seasonal vegetables were fresh and well cooked. Disappointing and over priced.

   Booked Sunday lunch for 6pm, roast beef was lovely! And the Yorkshire pudding was spot on. Lots of good cooked veg and lashing of gravy. Could only manage a half share of sticky toffee pud which was also delishh! Definitely book ! I overheard that there was no beef left!

   Enjoyed our first meal so much we went back for dinner the next day Very friendly staff and good food. Value for money too.

    Fantastic Sunday dinner. We got the mix meat sharer for two with extra side platter. Good value. Loads of food. Best cauliflower cheese.
