    My friend and I had open sandwiches, my friend chose the smoked chicken which was meant to arrive with gravy , but none came . I chose the prawn open sandwich which consisted of three small baby gem lettuce leaves on a slice of sourdough with 4 prawns and some Marie Rose sauce . This was extremely disappointing for £10 a sandwich .

    10/10 The whole experience was outstanding. I’m so glad we booked as it was fully booked. We got there 10mins early and the waitress took us straight to our table. Even though it was busy it wasn’t over whelming, we had our little table in the corner and it was just perfect. The food was incredible Service from start to finish was amazing and the waitress was absolutely lovely (sorry I didn’t get her name) Perfect for our Date Day 😊 We will definitely be back again

    First visit, pleasant setting . Food was ok, had an open sandwich, portions fairly small. Had 2 lots of roast potatoes these were like frozen Aunt Bessie's. I won't be rushing back.

    This is my third visit, and once again it was amazing. The service is first class, and all the staff are so friendly. The food-this time Mac n cheese and toffee pudding-were delicious! By far the best Mac n cheese I’ve ever had! The whole atmosphere is calm, relaxing and there is so much history and things to see.

    Another lovely lunch at The Old Post Office. Olivia was our waitress & was friendly & attentive. Molly & Rob were both very welcoming as always! I was happy to see the prawn open sandwich was back on the menu, which I had, along with shared fries & fish board for my husband. A good festive dessert was the mince pie with cream & we both had a cocktail. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The decor is wonderful, the food always delicious, but the staff are also a reason we visit. Can’t wait to be back in the new year!
