Open to holiday makers, wedding guests and locals, the Murray Arms Hotel in Gatehouse of Fleet is an extension of Laggan, offering bed and breakfast, grazing boards between 1.00pm - 4.30pm and our supper menu from 5pm - 8.30pm.

We have undergone an extensive refurbishment, winning Hotel of the Year in 2023 for Best Design. Our new spaces include our bar area which is dog friendly and our new restaurant.

    Great experience from start to finish. Food was very tasty with large portion sizes. The staff were very attentive without being overbearing. Would definetly recommend if you are in or near Gatehouse of Fleet.

    My chicken curry was superb and my wife’s fish & chips was very excellent. Desserts were also excellent.

    I was looking forward to trying The Murray Arms, but was slightly worried as had heard a couple of instances of service lacking slightly but this was definitely not the case for us. Service was great, food was delicious and decor is lovely. Looking forward to going back.

    The menu was extremely limited and not all options were available. The dish we chose was nicely presented and tasted fine. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, however it felt a little chilly. The staff were friendly and helpful.

    We had wanted to try the restaurant at The Murray Arms and weren’t disappointed. Beautifully decorated and the food was excellent. Staff were pleasant and welcoming. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning.

    Could have been better. Staff were excellent, and food and drink not too bad. There were two problems: Firstly we were sat at a tall table with high seats, and even for fit 75-year olds, it wasn’t too comfortable, and we felt we were towering over the rest of the diners (it was the only high table)! Secondly, about halfway through our meal an extremely noisy group of ten or so folks came in and the volume of their “conversations” was unbelievable. That said we are unlikely to return as it was our last night in Gatehouse of Fleet
