   Food, service and atmosphere all really wonderful. Thank you so much for making my daughter’s 18th feel extra special and for accommodating all of our little extras. We will definitely be back!

   Beautiful experience, menu was diverse and devine, wine and service all perfect. Highly recommended, we'll dine here again when back in Byron Bay

   We've been coming to Mez Club for years and always recommended the restaurant to our friends. Our favourite dish was the halloumi as it was always so soft and we'd never had halloumi the way Mez made it, however this time, it was clear they had either swapped the brand of cheese for another or had cooked it very differently - it definitely wasn't the same. When the waitress came to take our plates, she asked us how it was and we provided feedback. She mentioned she would let the kitchen know, but never did she come back to us about what they had said. Disappointing dining experience as overall we felt the quality had dropped and food is overpriced for what you get.

   Delicious food and beautiful decor and surrounds add to a wonderful atmosphere and dining experience. Our second visit and both times the food has been exemplary.

   Had a fairly large group and they made it a great night. Sharing plates were the go. Cocktails were great and the staff so friendly and fun.

   Mez Club is a beautiful ambience. Although the food was delicious, it was significantly overpriced for the portions we received. We did have to order more “add ons “ due to small portions. Our food was provided approx one hour from when the order was taken. Mez club wasn’t flexible for dietary options as meals came out at different times which definitely negatively impacted the group dynamic as some received their food others didn’t. I would recommend this place for a cocktail and entrees rather than a substancial meal. Waiters were friendly - thank you Celia you were lovely. Ambience was beautiful. However, value for money for questionable particularly with small portion sizes.

    I don’t usually write reviews but feel strongly about our evening at The Mez Cafe. It was extremely disappointing and ruined what should have been a great night for a birthday celebration. The service was completely shambolic. While the food was very good when it finally arrived, I would not recommend this restaurant. One end of our table of eight was served around half an hour after ordering. At the other end we waited an hour and a half for food - despite several follow-ups with waiting staff who assured us many times that our food was just moments away. As the evening progressed it became clear that waiting staff had no control of the situation, and no idea of when food would be delivered and what food had or had not been served. A bowl of french fries was delivered as we got up to leave. We had seen other tables arrive, eat and leave before we were served. After discussion at the front of house we received a limited and quite unsatisfactory reduction of the bill which I reluctantly accepted to avoid the evening becoming even more unpleasant. This level of performance from a restaurant that charges around twice what Byron’s mid-market does is simply not acceptable and management should be embarrassed given the mid-market restaurants frankly do a much better job in terms of service and hospitality.
