   Probably the best carvery I've Had, the staff were pleasant and the place its self very clean and well kept, the presentation of the food as it came out were 1st class. I would highly recommend the Merchants Yard to anyone and defiantly worth the 1 hr drive, we will be coming back that's for sure. 5*

   Topped off a lovely day just beautifully. Lovely food and relaxed atmosphere, with great staff who know how to welcome and look after their guests.

   Beautiful bread starter followed by a large tasty fish in batter. The wine was superb. The service was also excellent. I usually only go the MY for Sunday lunch but would definitely return for the fish in batter again. My friend & I were very happy.😃

   I had one of the best roast dinners I have ever had. The beef was so tender and the Mille feille dessert was to die for! We will be back!

   We booked a table for two as it was our last evening in Tideswell .they had a special 2 dine for £25 and a bottle of wine for £15 - it was lovely food and wine - we ordered some starters the very crunchy scratchings and oh wow! the cabbage was delicious ! Friendly staff including the charming Laura who served us . Comfortable, smart and warm atmosphere - would recommend and would definitely return !

    Excellent food and Excellent service. Our waiter was very attentive to our needs. The meals are always fantastic and the presentation is beautiful, "art on a plate." We were there on a Thursday lunchtime. There was only one other couple dining and a few people in the bar area. So it was quite quiet.
