Fabulous food in a cosy, relaxed setting. The service was prompt without being rushed. The food was that little bit more special without being pretentious. Our whole party thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived and we were left unattended for longer than we should have been with no apology. We arrived at 8pm for an 8pm booking. Service very slow to get us started but once started it was fine. Good very good but portions far too large do full after our starters.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, having been there before the standard was as good as previously. Service was first class as was the food. Had planned on 2 courses but ended up having 3 although the quality of the food meant I did not feel as if I had over eaten. When we booked it was mentioned that it was for a birthday and it was a nice touch from the restaurant to give a complementary dram. Will definitely be back.

A very popular place to eat so booking recommended. In hot weather there is outside seating. Good range of beers and a fantastic range of whisky. Plenty parking. Good access. But best is the quality of the food and great service

Fabulous. I had potted prawns- delicious butter and bread was pillowy, prawns were moist and there were plenty of them. Husband had haggis and black pudding starter- again cooked well and he really enjoyed it. I had French Onion soup as my main and it was the best I’ve eaten. He had fish and chips and they were great. Fish was cooked perfectly and the batter was perfect. Highly recommended.

A favourite dining experience for us. Always great food and service at a resonable price. Definitely recommend to anyone but it's advisable to book as very popular.
