We went to the Marigold club for afternoon tea and all I can say is outstanding. The first thing you see is how beautifully decorated it is and we were seated at a lovely table for two. The wait staff is very attentive. The sandwiches and scones or something I’ve never had and all were very tasty. The toffee scone is simply delicious and is followed by a dish of beautifully decorated little desserts. The tea is different from any tea I’ve ever had in Houston. We will be coming back here for other meals they do have a dinner menu, which we didn’t see but I’m sure it’s just as delicious as everything else. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful, beautiful space. We were seated in the main dining room which was definitely the prime spot to be. Great service, yummy food (pricy but yummy!), overall great time. Favorites were the beef tartare (which I am not normally that excited about) the gem salad, shrimp cocktail with ranch crackers, and the banana dessert.

This was mine and my friends first time to the restaurant and we enjoyed every moment! It was also the first night for the pianist, Thomas Cokinos. The music was absolutely wonderful!

We made an anniversary reservation based off another friends recommendation and unfortunately they did not live up to the expectations set. They try to squeeze too many in and force guest to sit way too close together where the tables are arranged in a shared bench seat with tables stacked next to each other. There is a location where they sat us where two cushions come together with wooden divider and cause you to sit on the wooden divider. For the experience of any guest they try to seat there, they should just remove that two person table. I am thankful they fixed that situation, but it should never happen in the first place in a nice restaurant. Service was slow and order were either forgotten or “booked” wrong. I don’t know that I would recommend this to another friend.

Overall a wonderful experience. The ambiance and service do not disappoint. Attended brunch and order included oysters, crudo, french omelette and hash browns . Crudo was refreshingly light and not heavily citrus forward like what is typically found. Both the omelette and hash browns were too salty. Looking forward to a return visit to experience dinner.
