We picked this restaurant for its location - we were meeting a friend from out of town. The food was really good...had the Crab Louis salad (which was phenomenal), Crab Cakes (which we each had and were great); the tacos (which one person had and looked good even though I didn't try it); and our wait person recommended the bread pudding which was also really good. The Atlantic Pie (lemon) was alright...just a little flatter than you normally expect. They had a bar that looked like they probably made some interesting cocktails...but we weren't drinking, so can't comment on that part. Really enjoyed it and if it were closer would definitely go back again!

The lonely Oyster has become my late night go-to. Nothing like a delicious plate of oysters and a basket of super crispy fries to put some punctuation on the evening. They're open noon to midnight most nights, later on THU/FRI/SAT, but call first to confirm. The LO is also a great place to bring out-of-town visitors. It has a kitschy off-the-beaten-track vibe, the bar is fab, and the menu has something for everyone. Try the cioppino. You won't regret it.

Amazing oyster varieties with gorgeous presentation. The sauce droppers for the half-shells were so cute! The bar has a very fun vibe (much to the credit of the staff) despite its more formal appearance. My cocktail was unique and thoroughly boozy. Oyster prices were higher but it definitely reflected in the quality. Overall; Classy. Cozy. Upbeat. Can’t wait to go back :) PS: highly recommend the caviar shooters for a fun table experience

I’m basically here every other day at this point, it’s almost a running joke. I love the space, it’s so intimate. The staff is stellar and I always have a good experience with the service. They do their best to accommodate whatever you might need. Each item on the menu I’ve tried is an absolute banger, even as someone who doesn’t like oysters. Can’t recommend this place enough.

My first time dining here and sat outdoors. Service was horrible! The food was ok! The two waitresses had negative attitudes and bad customer service skills! The first waitress ignored me and with a negative attitude said "follow me". The second waitress said in a direct and aggressive way to my friend, "Relax honey and we'll take care of you" when my friend was only asking for clarity of her order. The second waitress conveyed they were severly under staffed and were busy after she wouldnt give me the name of the first waitress and asked if there was a problem! Granted it was the end of the day, on game 2 of a 5 game series for LA Dodgers so the area was probably packed! But customers should NEVER recieve the impact of a restaurant's poor management skills! My mother just passed away and our table just wanted to eat good food and bond with each other after our tough week. 1) Management should always TRAIN their staff to give good customer service! 2) Be Aware of events in the area (e.g. Dodger games, concerts or festivals) so the restaurant and its staff can be prepared and receive clientele. I spent 20 years evaluating, monitoring and investigating organizations in LA County. This is no different in evaluating and monitoring staff capacity and quality of service with this restaurant! I WOULD NOT GO BACK TO THIS PLACE and would not recommend it to my circle of friends, family or professionals. We also paid well for our meal and tipped despite these interactions. It's Lonely for a Reason!!
