   We ate at 5.30pm Mothering Sunday - service was a tad slow which I couldn't understand as it was quiet. The food is not warm enough, very luke warm. The lady didn't know the soup of the day unyet she had been serving other tables prior to us. We did not receive our mothers day flowers which others were given. Clearly when you are last in the service goes out the window. Very expensive meal over £300 for a meal that was not the best. Disappointed.

   Excellent lunchtime visit with enjoyable food in very smart surroundings and great service. The Lesters is a little of the beaten path but well worth a visit. There is a lunchtime menu, however we ordered “pie of the week”, Chicken, Mushroom & Tarragon together with Fish & Chips (it was Friday!) from the main menu. Both meals were excellent, nicely presented and worthy of a gastro label. Prices are a little higher than a mainstream pub but well worth the extra. We also indulged in Chocolate Brownie and their take on lemon meringue pie, both were again very well presented and delicious. Highly recommended for a treat.

   Great place. Beautiful decor. Food was amazing. Great service and value for money. Will definitely be going there again.

   Food and service was excellent, the only criticism I had was that we were rushed at the end and asked to vacate the table because they had another booking.

   So often nowadays Sunday lunch out can be a disappointment, and definitely a waste of money, not so the Lesters Arms. Food ,service and value for money all excellent and I have already booked to go back. Can’t wait.

   We arrived early sat at bar. Waited about 10 mins for someone to take our drinks order, but they were busy so we understand. Taken up to our table 15 mins layer than we booked,but again no problem busy Sunday, we understand. Then we ordered our food, food was beautiful, fresh and cooked perfectly. We asked for water jug, none arrived , we asked again, none arrived.we asked again after apologies it was duly sent to our table. We asked for Mustard, none arrived, we asked another server, none arrived. We asked again finally !. Then we were asked do you want to see dessert menilu, we said absolutely yes!! None arrived, we waited again, nothing arrived, then a server asked us to vacate our table and sit in the bar as we had finished our meal!! We explained we were waiting for dessert order to be taken! She duly bought us menus and 10 mins layer our order was taken. The dessert was perfect worth the wait. The service had been very poor sadly but the food made up for it.

   Other than not being given a menu on being seated at our table and having to ask for cutlery when our desserts were brought out - everything else was excellent. Could not fault the food; beautiful and cooked to perfection.
