    A compact menu with enough choice.Pleasant background music in the nicely warm restaurant.Food came quickly and was piping hot. Service was a little slow towards the end of the meal but it was 7pm at this point. Everyone really enjoyed the food and thought that the portions and value for money were very good except for the scallop starter that was disappointing for the money. Overall a great experience and we will visit again.

    First time but definitely not our last, everything about our visit was top notch. Service was attentive, food was mega. What a lovely place, will be recommending to our friends

    It was really cold in there today even though our table was next to the kitchen. Food and service great as always.

    Great lunchtime food and lovely place. The kitchen is open so you can see in and all spotless. Would happily recommend and will be returning.

    Excellent food served by very polite, efficient young female. Very nice wine to match. Beer was spot on and served by a very polite barman who assisted with making sure that my elderly mother was able to navigate stairs.

    Firstly, the food was beautiful and we had no complaints whatsoever with that. The service however, was horrendous. Drinks were ordered and we waited a long time for them to turn up. Hot water in the teapot wasn’t hot so returned but never got a replacement so cancelled that order. Had to prompt for desert menu, slow clearing tables. Very cold inside, had to eat with coats on as did other guests. No apology for long waits or temperature. Not a cheap place to eat and was booked as a special occasion, disappointing. I would like to add it wasn’t particularly busy.

    It was our first time at The Lester Arms and we had a terrific experience. All the waitresses that we encountered were brilliant and the food was exceptional. The location and parking was great. Highly recommended.
