   We had reservations and they did not have a table available. We had to sit by the cold door. We waited over an hour for our food and ended up leaving because it still was not ready. I paid for our appetizers and 2 lemon drops and it was $70. The appetizer was not worth the cost. We waited 30 minutes to receive it. I would not recommend. The customer service was not good at all. This was our first and last time visiting.

   I went for my birthday and everything was amazing from the food to my waiter! The music play list omg amazing I truly enjoyed this place I will be back for sure thank you to the manager with locs she made sure my party was taken care of along with my waiter!

   The Service I experienced at The L station was unacceptable. The hostess’s/greeter with the blonde locs was extremely rude and had a disrespectful nasty attitude, i have visited the this restaurant twice and each time there was an issue my reservation and i was made to stand outside in 15-20 degree weather as a result of the ignorant hostess In addition , the food took over an hour to come to our table with half the portion than the last time, even after a required 18% gratuity the waitress tried to passively agreeable have me pay another gratuity There are way too many black owned restaurants in the Chicago with a similar menu to have to deal with this . I will not be back and will never recommend this establishment

   Food was 10/10 and although drinks are a little pricey you are definitely getting your moneys worth. They were out of a few things but overall experience was good.

   Great atmosphere, clean, great food and drinks, Brandon was a great server. Great place to go for a good time and meal.

   We were greeted immediately upon arrival. We did have a reservation so we were able to get seated after they cleared the table for us. Waiter took our orders promptly, the menu is not a big selection for entry’s so you won’t have much to choose from. The actual food it self was not so good, I got the Jerk turkey tips, now to be fair she did warn me that it would be dark meat so that means a lot of bones and fat but I didn’t think it would really be all bones and fat. The sides were not good either, the macaroni is not something I would ever try again. My date received the salmon with mashed potatoes and macaroni. He felt the same about the macaroni, the mashed potatoes were good but very salty. We did have appetizers and the salmon bites were the best thing we ordered. The wings were ok for flavor but not for texture, I don’t feel like they were completely cooked so if you get them ask for well done. Overall rating 4/10 and 4 being for service.

    The chairs were wet, chair almost broke, chicken and waffles were not good. Drinks were strong and good.
