The stately looking former manor house, is set back from the road in acres of grounds surrounded by the beautiful Norfolk countryside. Our Restaurant offers an unforgettable dinning experience alongside a traditional bar and large garden area. Our Head Chef's seasonal menu draws on the rich Norfolk larder of produce, much of it sourced on the doorstep, like Brancaster molluscs and local farm reared meats using innovative and modern cooking techniques. During the summer holidays the outside bar and kitchen is in full swing from noon til late. The pub warmly welcomes families and children have their own menu and the safe, enclosed garden and play area is perfect for youngsters to let off steam. The 4 guest bedrooms offer stylish relaxing ensuite accommodation, perfect for a special getaway, overnight stay or weekend break (dog friendly).

    Lovely pub for breakfast and our 2nd visit. The service is always excellent and the waitress found us a lovely quiet spot for our slightly nervous dog but compared to last time the breakfast let it down.Last visit we had complimentary croissants which was lovely but not this time. The breakfast was lukewarm and the tomato was not cooked through and again lukewarm. We had to ask for the hashbriwns as they had been missed off. The quality of the food was really good but on this occasion the cook didn't show it off to its best

    Very welcoming, busy pub. Great service; we had a short wait for our table, but were offered a complimentary drink. Delicious food, friendly staff, we had a lovely evening and will definitely be back

    Service in the main was fine aside from one person but food was below par to what we had experienced before and I asked for 1 dessert to be removed from the bill as it was so horrible.

    Overall a lovely meal and very attentive service, but the size of my smoked haddock mornay dish was far too small - not much more than a starter dish.

    What can I say the kings head pub,was amazing great staff great food, it was my fiancé birthday and they very thoughtfully bought out a sticky toffee pudding with a candle in off their own back !!! Amazing

    One of our favourite places to eat when we visit North Norfolk. Love the relaxed atmosphere, genuine dog friendly welcome and efficient but chilled service.
