The Kings Arms lies deep in the heart of the East Devon countryside. We’re surrounded by wonderful local farmers and growers, and we aim to make the most of this by using locally-produced ingredients whenever possible. Our meat is sourced from our nearby family farm, and most of our fish is supplied by our very own fleet of fishing boats.

Here at the Kings Arms, we serve a varied, locally-sourced menu, with breakfast, lunch and dinner all available in the bar, conservatory and outdoor terraces. We will happily accommodate different dietary requirements, with friendly and informal table service wherever you choose to sit.

    ‘Tis the season to enjoy carefully selected, local produce, expertly prepared by our chefs! Select from seasonal favorites such as Roast Turkey & Beef from our farm and Lyme Bay Hake from our boats with a delectable starter or a sumptuous dessert, or go all out on all three courses! All bookings will include a free glass of prosecco / bucks fizz on arrival and chocolates from The Melting Whisk in Dawlish alongside Devon Coffee (yum!)     Let the Kings Arms worry about the Oven temperatures, the timings and the Washing up! Kick back and enjoy quality time with your loved ones at Christmas. Enjoy 6 delectable courses, lovingly put together by our team of chefs here at The Kings Arms. On arrival you will be welcomed by a glass of Kir Royale (non-alcoholic options also available) Our menu includes Canapes, Starters, Main, Cheeses, Dessert & Coffee and Chocolates. Christmas Day Menu bookings are £110.00 per Adult | £55.00 per child. Bookings begin 12pm and last seating is 14:30. All bookings require pre-order selections by Sunday 8th December. Full payment by Sunday 15th December. We will endeavor to accommodate any dietary requirements.

    Lovely Sunday lunch followed by scrumptious puddings in a relaxed atmosphere .. asked for a quiet corner and this was exactly what was provided .. thank you for a lovely afternoon with our friends.

    This is standard faire pub food and of a good standard. We had the pork and the crackling was good and crunchy. Lots of gravy and nice potatoes. Not too expensive so worth dropping in for a weekend lunch. The service was very good.

    The service was excellent nothing to much all staff were friendly helpful. Food was well presented good local produce ,was so friendly stayed late and booked a room if there was one thing I could say maybe a little longer between starter and the main meal I understand it was a busy night .

    Always great food and service here! The plaice was gorgeous, and my partner’s burger was cooked exactly as he wanted it. Definitely recommend the house white!

    Waited over 45 minutes for two Sunday roast dinners, had to chase waitress as she said 20 minutes max and other big tables were being served first despite arriving after us. Wanted a desert but didn’t want to wait any longer. Staff seemed stressed and overwhelmed.

    We went as a group of 8 for an early evening meal. We were welcomed and shown to our table. Our orders for drinks and foods were taken promptly. The food arrived within a short time and was very tasty with good portion sizes. A thoroughly enjoyable time.

    Great Friday evening at the King's Arms in Otterton. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, boiling hot and served really quickly. Staff also seemed happy which is always a good sign!
