The Sailors Home has been welcoming those on a journey since 1864.

Formerly built to provide lodging for those sailors travelling to Circular Quay's shores, it would provide for many a weary traveler.

Today it houses a number of hospitality venues by the harbour. In the morning, drop by for our organic Australian coffee and some breakfast. As the sun sets, take a seat on the balcony of our intimate cocktail bar The Keel. For dinner, try a unique native focused dining experience with Darren Templeman at our popup Izy.Aki omakase 20-seat restaurant in Daintree Sydney.

The Sailors Home Precinct showcases the maritime history of Sydney and The Rocks area. This bar has also opened with it's original purpose, to support those on a journey and give back to the broader community; and operate with a sustainable ecological, social, and economic footprint.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich Empfangen und es war toll, diesen Platz zu bekommen! Die Karte hat uns sehr gefallen und das Essen war der Hammer. Zu Empfehlen sind auch die Drinks, an der Auswahl mangelt es nicht 😉 Die Lage bei The Rock ist super vor oder nach einer Erkundung in Sydney.

Great advice from bar staff on what cocktails to pick and helped us try something new based on what spirits we drink. Really welcoming and chill environment. Will definitely return.

We had the Sunday Roast by acclaimed chef Darren Templeman and it was superb - generous portions, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented, and best of all, it came with the best Yorkshire Pudding we've ever eaten.

For a cocktail bar it makes a good pub. Not sure if it was the clientele but vibe was more pub than cocktail bar. Drinks were average didn’t have any food so can’t comment on that.
