The pancakes are excellent, fluffy and light and the cappuccino was well made.

Having been to this restaurant many times before this was a very poor experience. Waiter very pleasant took our drinks order. I order my usual aperol spritz asked as I usually do for heavy on the aperol less on the spritz. It came like a pale version and tasted mainly of soda. I asked for some more aperol and they bought a small shot. My husband finished his drink and asked for another one which never arrived. Service throughout was very slow and it seemed very understaffed. Food was average. I requested a dessert wine which didn’t turn up. I asked the waiter why and he said it was out of stock but no one bothered to tell me. When we got the bill I’d been charged £12.50 for aperol and a further £8.00 for an extra shot! Unbelievable when the original drink had virtually none in it. We are not people to argue a bill. My husband mentioned it as we were leaving and was told that was normal policy. Shame be going back

Thank you Amanda for your feedback and we take your review on board. We will work harder for the training regarding communication of out of stock items and speed of service. I am sorry you felt the drink was not punchy enough but we do make drinks to spec and for anything additional we do have to charge.. Once more thank you and hopefully on another visit you will see a better difference. Kindest from St Johns Wood

Have been going to the Ivy in London for 19 years and never had a bad meal it is normally consistently great, had a roast for the first time today and I know it’s a recently new addition to the menu they need to go back to the drawing board and produce a much better standard than I had today, roast chicken should be moist and tender and cooked on the bone, not all bad though gravy was acceptable and the Yorkshire pudding good if I had ordered roast beef ? And please learn how to make traditional stuffing🙏🏻 sorry Guys and gals but everything else you do is fantastic🙂

A scandalous experience with The Ivy showing no respect for the law or the wellbeing of its disabled customers. The waiter told my friend the toilet was down (steep) stairs which were completely unmanageable for her. The manager then informed us that there is an arrangement with a tiny cafe across the road who agrees to let the Ivy''s customers use its toilet. Requiring a step down to the pavement from the Ivy, a step down to the road, the need to cross the road despite severe disability and one step up to the pavement and then the embarrassment and humiliation of having to identify herself at the café, thank them for their kindness and return to the Ivy. The Ivy is clearly simply not prepared to sacrifice a couple of tables to install a ground floor toilet to host its disabled gussets in a respectable way and/or comply with the law.
