   My 3rd visit now, did not disappoint. Great ambiance - classy bar, a nice throwback to style. Attentive service and friendly. Would prefer very young children were not allowed on bar stools, but that’s more about entitled parents than legal enforcement.

   We were late being shown to our table, wasn’t shown the Autumn menu with the set meals and drink. I had to ask. This saved us over £60 on our bill although initially the bill was presented with everything added separately at full price. After initial hiccup food and service were excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The Ivy.

   We’ve been to the Ivy several times and enjoyed the food and the ambience of a good quality restaurant. Both these qualities were in evidence last night (Monday 4/11) but the service was really slow. It took nearly 3 hours from start to finish and had to attract the attention of the waitress several times to get served. Our second round of drinks was so slow to arrive that the waitress volunteered to take them off the bill! It was remarkably busy for a Monday evening but, even so, the slow service rather marred the experience.

    The beef Sunday roast left a lot to be desired ... when we raised this to the waiter and reception there was little to no response. Poor from such a brand in my opinion.
