As always a great atmosphere, was extremely busy, have never seen passage ways with tables set, waiter was so busy had to ask for wine to be topped several times also bar orders took for ever. Seems not enough assistance. Food was just okay, could have been fresher as felt was left aside for a while before service due to just warm. New Year’s Eve is an expensive night in the Ivy and expected a little more, oh yes wonder when booking deposits will be returned. PJ. Probably book again next year family adore the restaurant, last year was so much better service.

Amazing as always. Food is absolutely gorgeous and worth the price. Service was outstanding, went for my birthday and was brought a gorgeous little dessert with a candle. Overall an amazing experience as always.

Word of warning, I recommend that you reserve in advance as our 2 hours there there was very few empty tables. We had the festive a la carte menu. The food was delicious and enjoyed some drinks. We started with the steak tartar, which was good. For mains we had the fish and chips, grilled sea bass, The Ivy shepherds pie, and the orange and lobster linguini. The fish and chips were the best followed by the pie then sea bass. Desserts were the Christmas pudding and the vegan orange dark chocolate cheesecake with mango sorbet. We preferred the pudding as it was the right kind of warming and spiced. The cheesecake was also excellent though out classed by the pudding that day. Would go again.

Great atmosphere, enjoyable ambience, flavoursome food but service was not up to normal The Ivy standards. It was if the team was short handed this evening. A nice evening but not as good as normal.

Food was not as it usually was and it’s my second time over the Christmas period and felt the same this time also. Standard of food was tasteless on both occasions

Sub par experience. Having dined here previously, I was quite disappointed. The waiter was clearly in bad form. The starters were enjoyable but the mains were bland. It was my mother’s birthday of which staff were made aware. We ordered a dessert expecting some reference to be made of said birthday but that did not occur. On leaving, the entrance was very congested and we collected our own jackets which was not a problem. Staff were then displeased that we did not wait for a staff member however there was no one free. Will think twice before dining again.

I appreciate it was busy , however table wasn’t ready , 22 minutes to receive our first ordered drinks , 1 hour for the starter to arrive ! Told on arrival it’s been very busy over 500 covers already ! That’s great staff accordingly ! It wasn’t great sorry !! I actually felt sorry for the staff in the end .. at best poor … don’t book that many in if you can’t handle it and make it a nicer experience for the people dinning !
