   Sadly, we booked early but were placed in a small side room. The food was average and the service was poor. A violinist was playing and sadly, she was too loud. Soup was missing a spoon, drinks arrived late and the waitress dropped a silver tray which made everyone jump. A door alarm or similar kept beeping. Overall, not very happy with the overall experience snd especially at the high prices.

   Very busy for a Monday night! Which is good, service was a bit hit and miss, couple on the next table came in after us and ordered their meal and had their starter before our order had even been taken, they also didn’t have the red wine I ordered and this seemed to take a long time to sort out and re-order. Food is ok nothing special. It’s a great place for atmosphere especially on a Monday.

   Enjoyed food although wasn’t what I actually wanted to order. Shocked that no fillet steak on the menu and not advised of this until they take your order so then under pressure to choose something else quickly. Overheard waitresses over the two hours we were in there telling everyone ordering one that they had just run out which clearly wasn’t true. They did take my main off the bill which was generous but didn’t feel our complaint was taken on board.

   I was a bit disappointed with the Ivy. The staff were lovely and warm and friendly and pretty good at keeping up with our various drinks orders and requests for water. Nice buzzy atmosphere on a Sunday lunchtime. But unfortunately I thought the food was not that great (for the price) and definitely not value for money. I had asked for a steak medium and it appeared well done. The chips were a bit cold and I think had been sat around for a while. My husband's roast chicken was very dry. The vegetables were nice and al dente but again lukewarm. The steaks didn't come with any chips so everything had to be ordered as side dishes. Puddings were good though! For the price we paid I was just underwhelmed with the quality of cooking.......

   Lovely restaurant in the great Clifton area. Food and service were fabulous, we thoroughly enjoyed the warm welcome and the delicious food. Two happy customers.
