   Our booking was at 10pm for drinks. In order to be there on time, we left our restaurant early and had to take a cab. We went there on time, at the reception we were told they were about to close because there’s no one else. Hence it was reservation for my wife’s birthday, it was more important than a casual walk-in, so we asked them why they accepted the booking at the first place - they said we can have drinks thats fine. Less than 10 minutes later, the staff started moving furnitures, which lasted for 30-40 minutes. At 10.20, we were asked to pay the bill because there’s bar was closed. Never ever seen such treatment in my life.

   Dear Gokhun, Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear about your experience. I’d like to clarify that we only accept reservations for food, not for drinks. We do our best to accommodate guests, but as your booking was for drinks only, we were not expecting a prolonged stay. When we called last orders, we did offer you more drinks, but you kindly declined, saying you were fine. Since you were the only remaining guests in the restaurant, we then asked to settle the bill as we were preparing to close for the evening. I understand this situation wasn’t ideal, and I apologise if this was not communicated clearly at the time. Warm regards, TICB

   Excellent and well coordinated New Years Eve party. Well done to the total staff who were very attentive and efficient even with a fully crowded restaurant.

   Visited NYE for meal and celebrations. Have to say, The Ivy is one of the best restaurants that I have visited for a long time. Live in Stevenage and travelled to eat at The Ivy. Stayed overnight in a local hotel. I'm really pleased I booked, never been before but will revisit in the future Definitely recommend this restaurant. It is very large inside (goes back and back) looks smaller from outside. Didn't initially intend to go to Cambridge but could not get a booking locally in a restaurant for the time I wanted. Best decision I made. Fully recommend.

   Just one negative in that we could have stayed to celebrate midnight as it appeared our table was not rebooked but otherwise it was lovely

   Love The Ivy. Good food . Service great. Wouldn’t recommend new year tho as food comes out like a conveyor belt as obviously busy time of year Usually a relaxed experience. Will still continue to go tho as it’s our go to restaurant

   Amazing food and service. One lady a bit sharp and needs to have a bit of training on high class service but everyone else amazing. Menu was huge , we had the festive menu which was very good. Wine expensive but great. Would go again and again Had drink at bar after. The staff let it down nut we were still happy- take a long time to be noticed and served then we had to wave them down to pay the bill, too interested in putting cling film over the taps and counting stock ( all 4 of them ).
