   Food was lovely along with the decor. Service was ok. It was my daughter's 21st somehow managed to not get any birthday treat even after telephone call made prior to confirm 21st birthday treat. Didn't receive birthday candle or anything like that effect. Dissapointing as others did. Not sure what to think really, bit let down first time to ivy asia but will most likely think again for a birthday dinner.shame.

   Our 18th birthday celebration got off to a bad start at the Ivy Asia. Our table wasn’t ready and we were asked to wait at the bar. The barman refused to serve my 18 year old son because he didn’t have any hard copy ID on him. Our assurances as parents that he was 18 and a photo of his passport were not considered sufficient. The barman accused me of trying to break the law - the law in fact allows 16-18s to drink alcohol with a meal if accompanied by adults … and my son is actually 18. The bar man was confrontational and aggressive which put a dampener on the celebration. It would have been helpful to know in advance that the Ivy requests hard copy ID from anyone who looks like they might be underage. This was not mentioned in email traffic prior to the occasion, which had been booked as an 18th birthday celebration. You only get to celebrate being 18 once so a shame that it didn’t go as well as we would have liked.

   Sashimi is incredible. Beautiful setting. Fun sophisticated vibe. Service was friendly but a little inattentive as busy. Nice birthday dessert. Will go again.

   Late booking so we ended up in the terrace area for our first visit, nice seating and heaters and pleasant staff but no atmosphere or engagement with the restaurant and bar which was disappointed. Nice if you want a quiet meal but not the experience we hoped for so be aware if booking. Staff were attentive and drinks prompt, great cocktails and good value. MEA I was explained with the food experience would come randomly, which it did but way too fast, if going again we would order some and then pause before going to larger courses. Food was in general spectacular, the sushi and the gyoza a real highlight, the disappointment was the main black cod, over cooked and with the rice side at £50 not worth the price. Recommend for future to stock to small plates and sushi, the silver bowl platter in particular was excellent value. We skipped desert and finished with another cocktail, which thankfully as wasn’t too busy we had time to enjoy. We shared a bottle of wine, average value compared to other local venues, and overall staff were excellent and even offered to let us check out the main area to see if bar was available, it wasn’t. Would come again but ensure in main indoor area, avoid main courses and order in phases so you don’t get rushed and have the experience spoiled.

   We had chosen the Dargon Menu as we had selected it last time as it offers good value for money and is relatively light for a midday meal; and so it was this time. I had the Beef Tataki which was very tasty and my wife had the chicken skewers to start. For mains she had the chicken balls and I had the prawns. We had sharing bowl of rice and greens. All very tasty, except for the greens. But, then, I not a lover of Bok Choi or whatever. We share the doughnuts for dessert. Very sweet and too large a portion for one person, so glad we were two. Servers (I think we had 3 in total) were very pleasant, good humoured and helpful. My only critique is that the 0% Asahi has the chemical after-taste of all non-alcoholic beers. Why not stock some Guinness 0.0%. It has become my go to.

   Amazing evening, wonderful restaurant, great service, delicious food… great evening with my beloved on our anniversary. We had the Premium Experience Menu (£60 pp) which was really good - start to finish!

   Friendly service but a little slower than other visits, and the restaurant wasn’t as busy. Food was lovely but not didn’t feel as generous as previous visits. Would still visit again.

   From the moment we stepped into The Ivy Asia, we knew we were in for something special. The warm ambiance, beautiful designed interiors, and welcoming staff set the perfect tone.
