Excellent food. The host/hostess staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and unprepared to handle the waiting people. The entrance area is way too small and got extremely congested with just a few waiting diners and staff trying to walk through to tables, kitchen, etc. However, once seated, it was an excellent experience. We also enjoyed a nice glass of wine at the bar.

The service was impeccable. We felt like we had our own personal waiter. The ambiance and the interior of the restaurant felt very Italian. The prices were a little lower than most high end Scottsdale establishments without sacrificing quality. Very good menu. We added it to our "favorites" list.

The appetizer and the Tiramasu were outstanding! Unfortunately, both of our entrees did not live up to expectations. I had the Shrimp Fra Diavlo. I was told it had a kick! It had zero kick, pasta and shrimp were excellent, but the sauce was bland and very disappointing. The fish special was also bland it neither dish was very hot. The place came highly recommended but it was a huge disappointment. I loved the atmosphere and the people, just not the entrees. I won't be back anytime soon or if at all.

The Italiano had been recommended to us by a few friends, so we decided to go there. It was not what we had been expecting. Our server, was pleasant and did his job well, so no problem there. What appeared to be cheap, formica table tops, should have a tablecloth at this price point restaurant. The food (main courses..lobster ravioli and salmon) were mediocre at best….disappointing. Cocktails were very good, our appetizer tasty as were the salads before dinner. Focaccia bread was completely tasteless…thank goodness for flavorful butter served with it. The bus boy, however, took away the bread basket without even asking if we were finished with it. We did not order dessert, so cannot comment on that. Also the courses were rushed to our table…barely swallowed the last bite and the next plate was there. A little more time between courses makes for a much more pleasant dining experience without making the guests feel they are being rushed out of the restaurant. We were there a total of less than 90 minutes. I am of Italian heritage myself , and we have traveled many places around the world, so we have many comparisons. There are much better Italian restaurants around Scottsdale and the Phoenix area. This will not be a repeat place for us.

The service was exceptional all evening, with Kenneth being an outstanding server. We were seated in the back area, where the noise was manageable, but it seemed louder near the entrance. The food was good, though the prices were on the higher side. We'll definitely return and try one of their specialty dishes next time.

A Girlfriends Luncheon today, the restaurant was freezing. We moved to a somewhat warmer spot. Food was good but not wonderful, not one of us said their meal was superior. Our waiter simply did not pay attention. I had to ask twice for a spoon for my soup. There's been a lot of buzz so my expectations were high that this would be someplace special. Lovely interior but an ice box, staff definitely needs to be more professional. I will be returning soon to join friends for dinner and I hope it's a lot better.

Very Disappointed. Very noisy, food is mediocre for high prices. Uncozy with cheaply showing decor attempting to imitate art or Italy
