   We sat to the left of door which meant each time was opened it became very draughty, something to consider next visit. A table of 7 we ordered6 Sunday roasts, when the veg cam a good 10 mins after main meal was served, they sent just 2 portions, 1 turnip 1 mixed cabbage with 2 carrots. When asked, was if for the 6 was told a stern Yes. A table across from us where there was 3 people sat, they had the exact same qty of veg. The next waitress who asked was all OK, again I questioned the veg. She did say yes that was it all but she said she would get some more thankfully. This came 5 mins later. All our roasts were mainly good but not that hot especially as we had been waiting for the veg. Two of the roasts were turkey but there was no pigs in blankets which were on menu. A nice touch was a birthday card and a piece of cake on a birthday plate. Our waitress was helpful.

   Another lovely meal with perfect service. The chocolate fondue is as amazing and very good value for money. Our waitress was young but very knowledgeable and professional. Can’t fault it other than the room can be a little cold.

   Many varied items on the menu. Starters and mains arrived promptly and was hot and truly delicious Only slight disappointment was the puddings. We all had desserts and the warm puddings were very stodgy and had probably been overcooked in the microwave

   I was taken out for my birthday to The Inn in South Stainley. This was the first time and it won't be the last. The menu is extensive and caters for everyone's needs from carnivore to vegan. The service was faultless and the ambiance very relaxed. I would not hesitate in recommending The Inn, South Stainley.

   A bit disappointing. This was for my seventieth birthday and was spoiled a bit due to there seemingly not being any heating on. We very nearly had to put our coats back on as it was that cold. It was also off-putting that the bottle of water we were given had dried food on the outside of the bottle and looked brackish In nature. I was not sure how often the water was replenished, so we did not drink any. In addition, the glass containg my latte was also dirty at the bottom, either from not being washed properly or from coffee spillage. Not sure if I would want to go again.

   Hi Ernie, We are terribly sorry that your visit this week was disappointing. Our heating has been on full all week, along side our gas fires and wood burner. We always try our best to make everyone as comfortable as we can and would have happily moved you closer to the fireplace had we known you were too cold. As for the water bottle I can only apologise that this had not been cleaned on the outside, we do refill them after every use with fresh water and they are cleaned using our glasswash machine - but this issue will most definitely be discussed and actioned amongst the team. I do hope you will give us another chance to impress you with our usual high standards and hope that if you do you will book directly with ourselves so that we can guarantee you a cosy spot by the fireplace!

   Excellent experience, good quality, fast service and polite pleasant staff. Not the cheapest food but ok on value.

   Lovely Sunday lunch with our family. The staff and the service was great. Sadly the beef wasn’t great (over done and tough with lots of gristle) and the yorkshire puds were a little crispy and airy but perhaps they were a GF recipe (which would explain the texture). The salted caramel tart pudding was exceptional. A really enjoyable lunch - thank you The Inn team!
