The Hutton is a neighborhood restaurant, bar and wine bar located on Hutton Street between Sanford Place and JFK Boulevard (On the corner of Hutton Street and Sanford Place)in the Heights of Jersey City. We aim to provide a comfortable local pub where you can not only have a pint or glass of wine, but also enjoy great food in a warm, casual setting. A neighborhood gem. Great food (try to jerk calamari), great selection of craft brews, and great service. Bartender (Alexander) was very attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend.

The service was great. The menu is not big and is a little weird. It was pricey and you don’t get a lot for your buck. The drinks were good. They did have an options for vegan and gluten free entrees. The bar is cozy and the music was good.

Bacon jam on a burger and a sweet potato tamale? Add a side of fries and some live Irish trad music and it feels like gourmet has come to a small village in Ireland. Love me some Hutton.

I really want to love this restaurant and look forward to Trad Sundays. The outdoor patio in the back is nice and heated but you can’t hear the music outside. We last visited on St Patrick’s day but had made reservations days before for inside. We were told the restaurant overbooked, the only space was on the patio, and we would be able to move inside if space opens up. I can somewhat understand on St Patrick’s day but this had happened to us a few months prior where our inside reservations was not honored, and it wasn’t a holiday. It’s frustrating because the food is good and this is a nice local spot.
