   This is my favourite place to eat. It was a cold Saturday afternoon and not only was the central heating on but the log fire burned steadily. It was a delight. The food and service were, as always, excellent. We all had the monkfish curry which was delicious.

   Food and ambience were good but the service was abrupt and we were told that the table needed to be relaid twenty five minutes before the end of the allotted two hours. We left without dessert or coffee and will not rush back.

   Wonderful Sunday lunch today in the horseshoes with my son and his girlfriend. Plenty of meat and vegetables and the gravy was absolutely delicious. The staff are also lovely in there. We ate in the bar and I have to say it with a little chilly as it was a horrible freezing day And even though the fire lit there was quite a draft from the front door. However, it was a great lunch and I would highly recommend.

   Never been before. Welcomed into a cosy restaurant. Table service excellent as was the food. So impressive booked for a few days hence.
