The restaurant and menu both have a really cool vibe to them. I travel for work a lot so I must eat solo usually at the bar or a high top. My bartender was very attentive and made sure I was taken care of which is very nice. The menu sounded really cool and since I like food - I decided to get the pork belly bao buns and pork potstickers. I get it that it’s Iowa and of course I’m not going to get high quality pork belly bao buns… but… eh. They were just ok. The pork belly was more like a thick bacon slice and not soft at all. It was very chewy. I was hungry so I ate it regardless. It wasn’t that bad! The potstickers were really good! Nice flavoring, great dipping sauce. I loved the bamboo steamer bowls that the food came in, really nice touch. The bathroom was very clean - and the hostesses both were very nice! I’d definitely return and try something different next time!

The Hip-stir was amazing! Great food, drinks, and service at a reasonable price. Our party of 8 was seated in their front area with more private dining. It was a great atmosphere - we could visit easily, and the noise from our party didn't disturb other guests. They were prepared for us and our server was attentive and efficient. Easy reservation process through Open Table and we received a text when our table was ready. Overall, a great experience!

Great experience! We had a great server - sorry I can't remember her name. She gave great suggestions and we enjoyed everything we had. We will be back!

We didn’t get the party area. But our table for 7 was fine. Food was excellent. Service was great, thanks Darrel. A little expensive but Happy Hour Cocktails helped. Over all very nice.
