   Good food. Service great - until food arrived, afterwards literally ignored by all staff, so be sure to order enough wine and water with your food to last you until you leave

   We had booked a table on a busy sunny Saturday! We arrived a few minutes late and could tell the staff were very busy but they did their best to help us. The menu was extensive and we were excited to choose and everyone was pleased with their choices. I would say for myself I had the lunch steak sandwich which said sirloin steak but when I ordered the sandwich and was asked my cooking preference, the waitress said it was a skirt steak. It was tasty but the size of the steak inside the ciabatta was very small. Anyway, I would recommend, lovely location on Blackheath and off the beaten path. Lots of lovely doggies too which was a plus haha

   Service was great, but food was very average but I suppose standard universal pub food. We had a large party behind us, and the noise became deafening so we went outside to sit on a Blackheath bench with our plastic glasses to finish our drinks. Not a great experience.

   Excellent service from the moment we arrived prompt attention is having our large table prepared. This Sunday lunch roast had generous portions well cooked & presented. The waitress was attentive throughout we will be back!

   Service was impeccable as always, staff super friendly and looked after my dog giving her treats and cuddles. They have new dishes on the menu and the trout was my favourite along with the fried buttermilk chicken. Strongly recommend!

   We have been to the hare and billet a few times now for Sunday roast and I don’t know how they do it but it gets better every time. I had the lamb and they don’t short on the portion and the trimmings were spot on fresh veg and great roast potatoes and of course the Yorkshire. The staff are very friendly and spot on with the service I can’t wait for my next Sunday visit.

    What a lovely evening. The atmosphere last night was brilliant. The staff worked very hard all evening serving both meals and drinks very efficiently. The quizmaster was excellent and made the whole evening such fun.
