A fantastic little restaurant and the food is a delight. The whole experience was more that we had hoped for and it exemplifies what a gastropub should be. Amazing Value and pastry to die for with the ox’s cheek and bone marrow pie. It’s a must!

Always a delicious dinner, it’s become one of my favourite eating places. Snack of pickles and ox tongue was perfect, those pickles are life changing. Soup was spot on, just the right intensity and massive depth of flavour. Hogget chops with crisp fat on point. Loved it.

An atmospheric Suffolk pub, preparing brilliant food from locally sourced ingredients. A great selection of wine with plenty of value throughout. Friendly service. What’s not to like.

Lovely welcome and roaring fires, warm and attentive service and a great menu. We had some delicious bar snacks to start us off and a main dish of ox tongue was delicious followed by a scrummy homemade sorbet.
