Dear Sue, Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback, and I’m truly sorry to hear about your disappointing experience with our service over the weekend. It is only through individual feedback and comments that we can learn and improve our service for our current and future guests' benefit. As a result of your experience we have identified the need for some additional staff training which will help us maintain the high standards we aim for. We do hope to welcome you back to The Grange Restaurant at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People soon. Kind wishes, Angela, on behalf of the team at The Grange Restaurant

We waited an hour for our food. We asked for water but that never came. No one checked on us, no one asked if we wanted any more drinks or to order anything else after our meal. Staff were not friendly (except for the lady that showed us to our table). This was my second visit this week and I ordered the same food as I enjoyed it so much in the week. The food was no way near as good. If we had had this service and food quality in the week we would have never returned again so soon. Very disappointed

Dear Beth, I’m truly sorry to hear that your visit at the weekend didn’t meet the standards and service that you received at your earlier visit. Unfortunately, we were unexpectedly short-staffed in the kitchen over the weekend, which impacted the service and food quality you received. We do our best to check in with all our customers to ensure you're satisfied with your meal, and I apologise that this wasn't done in your case. As a result of your experience we have identified the need for additional staff training to avoid this issue in the future. Thanks again for your valuable input, and we hope to welcome you back to The Grange Restaurant at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People soon. Kind wishes, Angela, on behalf of the team at The Grange Restaurant

I was very disappointed with the fish pie. There was a lot of chunky potato and not much fish and the meal was so hot that I had to wait quite a while for it to cool. Not your usual standard. My friend had the Tian and she said it was delicious.
The Grange Restaurant at Hearing Dogs for Deaf PeopleResponded 4 days ago
Dear Heather, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I’m sorry to hear that the fish pie did not meet your expectations. In hindsight, we should have described the dish as a 'fish gratin' rather than fish pie. We appreciate your comments regarding the amount of fish, and we’ll be sure to address this issue the next time we feature this dish on our menu. I’m pleased to hear that your friend enjoyed the Crayfish & Prawn Tian – it’s always wonderful to know when our guests enjoy specific dishes. Thanks again for your valuable input, and we hope to welcome you back to The Grange Restaurant at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People soon. With warm wishes Angela, on behalf of the team at The Grange Restaurant

I've been coming to The Grange nearly every Friday for over two years and enjoyed it every time. Today however I was absolutely gutted because the Cinnamon French Toast has been removed from the breakfast menu. That was probably one of the most popular dishes on the menu. Why has it been removed and please, please, please bring it back as there's nothing else on there that is a decent substitute.
The Grange Restaurant at Hearing Dogs for Deaf PeopleResponded on 6 January 2025
Hi Carole, I'm so sorry to hear about your disappointment on Friday regarding the cinnamon toast. This is only a temporary measure while we review our seasonal menu - look out for a sweet alternative for breakfast in due course. We look forward to seeing you back at The Grange Restaurant soon. With warm wishes, Angela on behalf of The Grange Restaurant
