This was my first visit to The Grange. I chose the special fish dish of the day. I was a bit apprehensive when a whole plaice appeared accompanied by mussels in a white wine sauce. However, it did not disappoint- it will remain as top on my list of fish dishes. It was truly mouth watering, full of flavour and cooked perfectly! The service could not be faulted - staff are polite and the atmosphere was one of calm.

Went for cake and tea, scones were lovely, tea could have been hotter. Staff were friendly and helpful and. The service quick. Such a sham that the shop is no longer there, always made purchases and looked forward to looking at the lovely things you had for sale, apparently there is an online shop, but that is just not the same, it was part of the visit.

Dear Sue Thanks so much for sharing your feedback about your visit to The Grange this weekend. I'm so pleased to hear the service was quick and friendly. Apologies your tea was not hot enough - do ask us next time to warm the pot for you. I'm sorry that you miss our shop - unfortunately when we opened again after covid the shop was not economically viable, hence we moved the shop on-line. You will have seen that we do still have a limited number of items and Christmas gifts on sale in the restaurant at the current time. We look forward to welcoming you back to The Grange Restaurant at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People soon. With warm wishes Angela, on behalf of the team at The Grange Restaurant

Would have liked more basic meals, like pies or sausages with mash and veg. Not a great fan of chips. What we had was very tasty and hot. Lovely place and staff.

This was our second visit to The Grange as it is a useful meeting point between Watford and Oxford. Sunday lunch was excellent - we did all choose Gammon which with its selection of vegetables and accompanying sauces filled the bill beautifully. Oh forgot the vegetarian option which met with the approval of my vegetarian son. Only 2 desserts and several spoons were required after such a splendid meal. Hoping to come for afternoon tea soon.
