The Grand Marlin Restaurant features a main dining area with a shucked to order oyster bar, exterior North Drop Bar overlooking the beautiful Santa Rosa Sound, and private meeting rooms. This Pensacola Beach restaurant, with an air of island casualness, serves the highest-quality cuisine, including the freshest local seafood featured on menus designed and printed daily to take advantage of the local bounty. The atmosphere creates a fusion of the Caribbean and the Pensacola Bay Area. Executive Chef Gregg McCarthy has a passion for great-tasting food and particularly loves working his culinary magic with fresh Gulf Coast seafood. Boaters and beach-goers feel comfortable in shorts and flip-flops at the oyster bar, in the dining room and at the North Drop Bar. The Grand Marlin has a space and atmosphere for all occasions and is looking forward to creating an authentic experience between time and tide.

Everything was great and the service was 10/10. We had the grouper.

We usually enjoy this place but it was not very good today. Very crowded, waitress seemed stressed, not friendly. Chips came out super fast, but soggy. Rest of meal took forever.

Our “loved and rubbed” salmon was delicious! The brownie dessert was decadent and plentiful. Sophie was an amazing server with skill and aplomb. Great time!

The food was the best we’ve had since moving to Navarre. It was so good that there wasn’t a morsel left on a single plate. Out of our party of 5 we had the ahi poke, seared tuna, oysters on the half shell, shrimp, grouper piccata, swordfish oregenata, blue crab claws, praline basket, crème brûlée, and butter cake with apples. So we had quite the assortment from the menu. 3 of our party were teenagers who rarely eat fish, and they couldn’t stop eating till it was gone! The service was also great! I checked in with the hostess and we were immediately at our table that was already prepared for our reservation. Our waitress was knowledgeable and helpful and had a good rapport with our table. I can’t wait to go back!

I only have one complaint. Open Table has a place to put "special requests" for my account. I added a request to not be asked about alcohol nor to be seated close to the main bar if possible. The lady who took us to our seats took us almost right to the bar! I asked if there was a different table because we are recovering alcoholics & would prefer not to sit right next to the bar. She got us another table.

Skip the undercooked (barely blanched) green beans and get the asparagus instead!!

Delicious as always! My favorite dish is the grouper picante. We celebrated my husband’s 72nd birthday and he enjoyed the praline basket as a free birthday dessert! ❤️

The prices at the bar have really gone up. Forget Happy Hour. $10 for a glass of wine is NOT a good value. We won’t be dropping in for HH as much. They also shorted us $9 on the balance we had on our gift card (which we’d just checked 30 minutes before we arrived), then didn’t give us the receipt so we could verify it.
