   This was our first time dining here. We have eaten at David Burke’s other restaurant in Fort Lee a number of times and we were really looking forward to trying out Fox and Falcon. Our 3 appetizers were devil eggs, lobster dumplings and fried calamari with fried shrimp. The dumplings and deviled eggs were good. The calamari and shrimp were not freshly prepared. They tasted like frozen food that was heated. Between appetizer and dinner, there was a long pause… perhaps as long as an hour. When dinner came it was a real disappointment. My husband and friend ordered the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and spinach with mushrooms. The filet was cooked as ordered but the meat had no flavor. The spinach was in a ball with a few mushrooms on top. I had the shrimp and scallops that was served with butternut squash puree and petite pesto gnocchi. There were 3 shrimp, 2 scallops and they were in a bowl of butternut squash soup! The gnocchi were flavorless, ice cold and the soup overpowered everything. The soup too was cold. The last and worst dinner served was the Branzino . This was severed over a “puree” with fried cauliflower. The puree was properly placed on the plate, but the branzino was served skin side up. The fish and cauliflower were both cold and the fish was over cooked. When we brought it to the waiters attention, he apologized, removed the plate and offered something else in its place. My friend got a Caesar salad which was just okay, certainly not what he wanted for dinner. The restaurant had started emptying out as our dinner was served and I think our waiter left our dinners sitting in the kitchen longer than they were suppose to be. The only reason they got any stars is because in the end, they did the right thing. They didn’t charge for the dish they took back or the Caesar salad.

   We waited 2 hours to get our entrees. At 1.5 hours I complained to the GM wh assured us our food would be out in 5 min which it was not. We we sitting right by the kitchen so we had a car view. The Kitchen staff was on their phones and bullshitting with each other. I WOULD NEVER EAT DINNER HERE AGAIN. After dining in at least 5 different David Burke restaurants this was by far the worst. If you are look ing for a David Burke Experience I would recommend 1776 in Morristown.

   Overall did not live up to the standards. We thought David Burke had created. Very run-of-the-mill. Starting with the bathrooms, that should’ve been cleaner. Some of the food arrived cold and undercooked. Altogether definitely a disappointment.

   Way over priced for mediocre food the ambience was more like a sports bar than a pricey restaurant

   The food was cold and but our waitress Rain was a great server. And after I did complain that the food was cold, they did do the right thing and give us a credit off of our bill. It's too bad because we usually love David Burke's food, but the restaurant was definitely off today but again they did the right thing with our bill and we appreciated that.

   I met old friends today for lunch and we needed a place in South Orange and just randomly chose this restaurant after doing a Google search for the best restaurants in South Orange. We were absolutely pleasantly surprised because the food was really good and our waitress was even better. Her name was Rain and she was really lovely and helpful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and plan to go back again.

   Food has gone way down hill. So disappointing. Aside from poor quality, portions are smaller and still pricey.

    Four of us for dinner celebrating a friend’s birthday. Food was delicious, service spot on and they even gave us an extra piece of cake to celebrate plus complimentary champagne. Very classy and appreciated!
