   Being jet lagged travelers, the lounge area of The Footman proved to be exactly what we needed. Dinner and service were top notch!

   I'm a big fan of the hidden gem that is the first floor dining room here. It is a pleasant oasis in Mayfair with great food and great service. We had the Ribeye for lunch today. They were outstanding! I will continue to be a regular patron here.

   The menu is varied and good but small enough to be able to rely on the food is properly prepared. Service was well balanced between attentive but not intrusive. An excellent place to eat and have a pleasant discussion

   Staff were lovely and attentive but we were sat at a table for two by the door in an empty dining room so we could have been given a nicer table. Food so so, and could have been hotter. Don’t bother with the green salad.

   Always terrific. Prefer the ground floor though. 1st floor was too quit and lonely last visit.

   Drinks are always great. however the food has been awful the last couple of times. Bread is always rock hard with any of the nibble dishes.

   It’s a lovely gastro pub with the bar on the ground floor then dining rooms on the first and second floor. Our hostess was very good and served the dining room on her own. Food was good quality pub fair and traditional. All very nice and convivial.

   We waited an hour and a half for our food. When I asked where it was, the server was surprised as if he'd forgotten about it. He came back and said at least 20 minutes. We asked for our check, and he tried to charge us for everything even though we never got it. Finally paid full price for the drinks. Don't go here. Awful service, May not eat.

    We had our third girls Christmas lunch at the first floor dining room at the Footman on a busy Saturday afternoon. We all enjoyed our food but I thought my cod with chorizo and bean base was a bit on the small side for £29.00.
