The Ferry Inn is a serendipitous country public house with welcoming staff, character rooms, candlelight, open fires, real ales, popular foods and fantastic sunsets.

A 17th Century former smugglers haunt-- this is a pretty little pub in a lovely marshland setting with tables and benches on the front terrace and in the back alongside the riverbank.

Inside it's very easygoing and chatty. The main bar has hop-draped painted beams, a green dado, and stools against the bar where they serve a beer called Oxney Ale specially brewed for the pub by Westerham Brewery.

To the right is a cosy eating area with wheelback chairs-- ideal for a banquette with friends around a few long tables.

First visit & on recommendation. Beautiful March Saturday with lots of people sitting outside. Our reserved table was in the rear extension looking out on the lawn & waterway. Lovely space with tables not close together. Tasteful & relaxing decor. Service very pleasant. Food excellent. Will definitely go again.

Another great meal only slightly marred by all the roast lunches having ran out by 2.30 pm only chicken available so NOT really Sunday roast day ! All the food that was available was as usual top notch so a great meal even though it was not the one we came for ! This is a great place to eat but Sunday lunch should always be available a lot of people on the day were very disappointed !

An excellent meal. The place was packed but the service was very good and friendly. The food was well presented, with obvious thought as to how it looked as well as how it tasted. Full marks all round.

Knowing the Ferry of old, it was lovely to eat in the new bit... wonderful space. Great Sunday lunch menu... I must remember...book early because later sittings means less choice on menu and single glasses of red!! All in all a great family lunch...delicious food lovely space. Thank you.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Ferry with friends. The food, service and atmosphere were perfect. We sat at table 8 which has a great position.
