The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents. Rich History • 75 Years & 3 Generations • Award Winning Cuisine While flattering comparisons to steakhouses in Chicago and New York are regularly made by visitors, Amy Wimmer still cherishes this restaurant, her family restaurant, as one-of-a-kind.

Delicious dinner, the walleye was the best I’ve ever had. Great cocktails and appetizers. Shane, our waiter was great. We celebrated two birthdays with complementary desserts. Lovely, evening.

For the price the steak was ok but lobster and oysters were good. For the price would not get the steak again. Service very nice and ambiance was great.

What a beautiful place! Mid century decor but completely fresh and clean. Impeccable service. Delicious martini, great walleye, oysters were super-tasty!

Another great meal! We took some friends with us this time that have never been to Del Bar, let’s just say we already have reservations booked for May. It was very busy and still the food comes out excellent every time. Staff is friendly and always wonderful!

Always outstanding food and service. We went for my birthday and had salmon while my wife had a filet mignon. Best supper club in Wisconsin…hands down.
