The Daffodil is a Michelin-awarded food-led country pub, with high quality Shepherd's Hut accommodation (bookable directly via The Daffodil website and via Air B&B) in the pretty rural village of Penrhiwllan. Located 4 miles from Newcastle Emlyn, midway between Cardigan, Carmarthen & Aberystwyth, it's an ideal location for a few days rest or a relaxing meal in scenic surroundings.

Food at The Daffodil is freshly prepared using the best quality local produce wherever possible. The menu, available to guests eating in the restaurant, bar areas and outside decking over-looking the unspoilt valley incorporates dishes appropriate for full three-course dining and for those wishing for more traditional bar-meal-style dining. Guests can watch our chefs working in full view in our gallery kitchen, or enjoy the unspoilt view across the valley, eating on the south-facing decking.

    Just the perfect place for Sunday lunch! A full choice of roasts & trimmings & very suitably portioned ( not too big/small). High quality ingredients carefully cooked & presented. Wide selection of beers & ciders. And our dogs were welcomed!! Thank you & see you again.

    Had a lovely Sunday lunch at the daffodil today,Had a lovely welcome at the door by a male member of staff who opened the door for my wheelchair and helped us to our table.The Sunday lunch was beautiful.we will definitely be back again very soon.

    Excellent food and friendly considerate service. Was impressed with overall experience and consideration given to my mobility issues using a walking aid. Will definitely visit again. Well done all.

    We went for a Sunday lunch today and the food was outstanding. My daughter is gluten intolerant and was so pleased she could order the same roast and it also had a GF Yorkshire pudding. The staff were all friendly and very attentive . We can honestly say the BEST roast dinner

    Super lovely owners and servers. The food was very tasty - crème brûlée was the best dish of the night! Homemade delicious with great beer and wine selection.

    So glad I google searched places to eat that my husband and I haven’t been to before. We are based in Swansea so this place is a good hour drive. It sure was worth the drive! Outstanding food, The Ultimate Sunday Roast was beautiful including starters. Lovely decor and great ambience. A proper delight. We will deffo visit again in the near future.

    Everything really great again. It would have been a clean sweep but the almond and cranberry cake was a tad dry and over done. Caramel sauce, spot on. We love the place.
