   I appreciate it was a Saturday before Christmas, but we had to wait 20 minutes for our pre booked table. Our menu choices had been pre booked but still one person starter was over looked and they had to wait for it to be cooked by which time we had finished our starters. The food quality was underwhelming, I think this was due to the volume of orders as restaurant was more than fully booked. When our food arrived the waiter handed food across the table spilling hot oil fom a fish dish on to the back of one of our party all down her back and on to her jeans, also onto the coat that was hanging on the back of the chair. The waiter seemed unaware of what he had done until told, he then came back with tissues which were never going to remove oil. It was supposed to have been a special birthday celebration with our family that was ruined. We will never be returning to this restaurant.

   3 stars for service and ambience maybe a bit harsh because when we did get served, the service was excellent... our gripe comes from having a table booked for 6.30 and not getting seated till after 7pm, which ordinarily wouldn't have been an issue other than we had tickets for an event booked for 7:45. There were definitely not enough staff behind the bar to meet demand, however, the food was amazing, hot, tasty, reasonably priced and served timely... we didn't have to wait. So we will be back again... just look at your booking sysyem and be realistic with demand and what you can realistically deliver

   Always a great atmosphere and good food. Reopened with a fresh looking bar and lick of paint, looks really well. Pizzas are still tasty, but only critque is they are now square than round. Prefer a round pizza ;)

   Good service, good atmosphere, good food. Definitely worth the money. Might benefit with a sharp experienced maitre de to guide the talented young staff through challenging periods

   Service was really good and welcoming food came very fast despite it being busy. Atmosphere was amazing only things were the toilets were a bit of a let down with the floor being wet and one of the doors not locking could do with a refurb and the steak was a bit too cooked when asked for medium rare. But would definitely go back

    We were in Lancaster to visit our daughter who has just started at the uni. We chose this venue because of the extensive gluten free menu for our GF daughter, and the food did not disappoint. However, there was a live singer whose sound levels were so high that even though we weren’t in the room where he was playing, we could not hear each other to have a conversation so we ate super quickly and left. Such a shame.
