After four successful years on the Upper West Side, we are thrilled to be opening our second location, bringing The Consulate’s diverse and global concept to Midtown. We welcome our regulars, new neighbors and friends, to experience the space, which celebrates the French-style bistro of our sister location with a few surprises across the board, ranging from exciting additions to the food & beverage menu to a refreshed design.     Over rated.. it was very loud so not good for a romantic birthday meal for my partner. Waiter was not friendly or attentive, didn’t ask how the food was or if we were ok even once, or if we wanted more drinks/dessert, my girlfriend asked for steak blue but came medium. Definitely not worth it!

    It was frustrating... out of champagne out of oysters. Brought third choice champagne barely chilled. Disappointing.

    we arrive on time and 1 hour later we were still waiting for our table with no information and no follow up. We felt neglected and it was rude not to advise that there will be long wait. We left and never ate and never will ate there

    We chose without a personal recommendation and were a little worried. It was GREAT. I would not hesitate to return or recommend. I had the branzino - super.

    We had a lovely brunch. Food was excellent as was the service. The ambience was “old world” and charming. Our waiter Caesar was attentive and helpful.
