The Coal Shed Restaurant London is located at One Tower Bridge on the banks of the River Thames. The Coal Shed was born from the love of cooking the finest meat and seafood over fire.

The restaurant uses the highest quality ingredients, sourced as locally as possible. Try the 35-day aged sharing steaks or the South Coast sharing fish for a dining experience to remember.

The Coal Shed London, occupies two floors and a bar for pre and post dinner drinks and cocktails expertly crafted (it's not possible to stay at the bar at the moment due to the pandemic but if we have an available table, we will be delighted to seat you until we need it back). If you want to host your own event, there is a private dining room on the mezzanine or the restaurant can be exclusively hired for any type of occasion (following all Government Guidelines for numbers and social distancing).

Excellent service, food and location especially for pre-theatre dinner. Great interior and atmosphere and dinner and cocktails were terrific. Outstanding service & staff especially the Manager. We booked thru OpenTable who confirmed our booking by email but restaurant HAD NOT RECEIVED THE BOOKING, so the fantastic Manager scrambled to accommodate us given pre-theatre reservations meant restaurant was full. Our waiter was delightful and kept things moving on time but we never felt rushed. Perfect location for Tower Bridge and Bridge Theatre just around the corner.

Great location, perfectly good enough service, but not spectacular, food was good but for the second visit to coal shed in a row… no fillet steaks available 😢 Would definitely go back but would be hoping for just a little better next time.

Average food with not very friendly service. Slow service, everytime the food came out, one person’s dish didn’t come out. At this price point I would’ve expected better service or better food. Both of which were below average. Would not recommend

Food took over 40 minutes to come and then two courses arrived together. Steaks were very disappointing. We had Angus ribeye and they were tough and chewy. Chips were excellent. To be fair to the management they recognised the delay in getting our food and deducted the price of the drinks from our bill.

The décor of the restaurant and level of service was lovely. The mood ambient. The food selection was very promising and I would have been happy with any of the items from the menu. I picked the woodfired yellow fin tuna. The slice was not cut wide enough so I ended up being served a piece that was overly dry, even though I could tell it had been properly cooked. The potato truffle mash was divine, and the sticky dessert was delicious.

It was our anniversary and from the second we entered the restaurant we felt welcomed. The food was excellent and our waiter was amazing. We were very well looked after and will definitely come back. Thank you for a lovely evening.
