   We were so disappointed. Our waiter seemed so very young, and so clueless. Did not know the menu at all, couldn’t pronounce basic items, e.g the “”growper is similar to “Salomon” , and no they aren’t similar. Couldn’t get drinks order straight, two people were served while other two were not for a long while. Steaks we were so looking forward to were cooked incorrectly twice. Manager came to apologize but didn’t apologize, actually disputed issue. It was comical. Sad how it’s gone downhill since sold by Connor family. Whole vibe and crowd was so different.

   We came up to Knoxville for a weekend and came across the Chop House. The reviews were good and our experience was fantastic. Our server Jojo was very friendly and informative. She did not rush us at all. We had the shrimp and crab cake appetizer which was fantastic with the remoulade. My wife had the Chilean sea bass special which was seared to perfection. I ordered the prime strip but they were out of that and substituted a prime delmonico which was delivered perfect med rare. We shared a bottle of Stags Leap Petite Shiraz and topped off the birthday dinner with some coconut ice cream over a chocolately cookie. A very nice meal, excellent service and great value. I highly recommend. Ask for Jojo.

   We tried The Chop House for the first time in years. The food and service were excellent. Prices were quite reasonable for a nice restaurant. Wonderful experience. Can’t wait to return
