Jon Barr is a Pittsburgh chef with over a decade in the industry, currently working as the Executive Sous Chef for catering at DiAnoia's Italian Eatery. Shortly after the start of the pandemic, he opened Haskel's Delicatessen—a Jewish food truck where pastrami and crispy latkes were served alongside delicious pickles. We had lunch. I ordered the Beet and chicory salad with gorgonzola. I inquired about chicory; was fine with it. But I mostly got arugula and very little gorgonzola. Maybe 5 small slices or leaves of chicory. The beets were good but only a few very thin slices. It was not what I was expecting, nor I believe what was promised. If I had known, it was mostly arugula I would have ordered something else. It was very edible. I will choose something else next time. My companion had the salmon salad. She said it was fine. We chose to sit nearer the window. It was cold there on a cold day. Our fault. We were offered a table closer to the center of the room.

Our waitress, Lily, was excellent. Overall - an extremely pleasant dining experience. The menu is not huge, but is exceptionally diverse. Such creative options. We really had a lovely time and will definitely go again.

Everything about our meal was perfect. The Cafe Carnegie is one of my favorite places to dine in Pittsburgh, whether I am visiting the musuem or not!

Busy day to be dining at the museum but Lily handled the crush well. Good service and cheeseburger and fries was just what we needed.

Very slow getting the food out. Some of the food was not warm. The beans and greens had no flavor. The bocadillo was not good..
