   First time for a works lunch, fantastic value for money great service from both staff members and the food was to die for!! This will be our new go to place for lunch 💖

   Nice pub with friendly, efficient staff. The food was really good, we had the Sunday roast, it was very tasty and there was plenty too. The only negative which we entailed was there was a gentleman who was watching clips on his phone and talking very loudly which was very rude. I think the staff tried to steer him into the bar side of the put to let the diners enjoy their meals a bit better, but this/he was quite annoying and spoilt a nice meal.

   The service was warm and welcoming. Our questions answered professionally and politely. The drinks order taken at the tab, followed shortly after by the food order. We didn’t feel rushed over our choices which was lovely. The food was delicious, meat, vegetarian and vegan options, all really tasty. My 85 year old mum said the ribs were the best she’s ever had! The pub was really pretty, old timber beams and low ceilings and cosy.

    The food was somewhat disappointing this time. The pasta dish was tasteless, the chips were cold and the pie was served with mushy peas and when we said we had ordered without they brought it back with the same plate and the peas scraped off. Drinks were slow to come. Didn't get any reaction when server asked if food was ok.
